Folly Bridge Hertz

This was a live version of the TV Hertz series that I did. I used the natural surroundings to create rhythms of light.

The input for this work was the frequencies coming from Folly Bridge inOxford for the Pontoon Art Exhibition on the River Thames. By attaching contact microphones to lamposts across the bridge I then amplified the signal and used it as the visual input to a projector. The projector then placed under one of the arches of the bridge to produce a shimmering effect in synch with the passing traffic and pedestrians above.

I would like to thank Phil and Emily for all their help in putting this work on at their festival.
